Dr. Ford was born and raised in Doddridge County. The old homestead is where the practice now resides adjacent to Old Route 50. Some of her most treasured memories are helping her mother with the animals on the farm. Baby chicks, ducks, calves. puppies and kittens were often housed and nursed in the back room of the home. After attending Potomac State College and WVU, she graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in June, 1989. She married her husband Jeff in 1990 and together they raised their daughter and son in Doddridge. She opened the current practice on September 10, 1991 and expanded it to double it's size in 2001. Although she misses the large animal aspect of her career, she found it necessary to limit her practice to small animals. An occasional goat or exotic may come to the clinic for a check up. Dr. Ford's most cherished time is that spent with her grandson.
